HCL Associates was established in January of 1996.
What is your primary product or service?
HCL was started with the primary goal of providing small to medium sized businesses with equipment and software financing and leasing. It has expanded to providing othe financial products that help businesses grow and expand in way that would not be possible without access to capital
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As the principal owner of the business, Bob Bakofen started in the car leasing business working for Hertz Car Leasing. After several promotion he wound up in their equipment finance group. From there he joined the management of several national finance institutions. Later he went on to form HCL .
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We provide our customers with personal attention that is second to none. Our services and financial products are able to help the strong company as well as the small financially struggling operation. We tailor our products to their credit profile and current financial needs. Further, we finance a wide variety of equipment and software. Terms generally run from 12 to 60 months, with a variety of lease end options to fit our customers financial and tax goals.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
With headquarters in NY we have two additional offices. One in New Jersey and another in Michigan. We are currently in considering expansion in to Colorado and Florida.
Which areas do you service?
Our services are available to businesses in all 50 states and parts of Canada.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Bob Bakofen is the founder and President of the business and is hands on active in day to day operations.
What are your hours of operation?
We generally are open from 9 AM to 5 PM week days.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
HCL helped our company grow, we were treated fairly and with respect.
